Welcome to the N.H.K. is a 192-page novel written by Tatsuhiko Takimoto, with the cover drawn by Yoshitoshi ABe of Serial Experiments Lain fame. The novel was first published on January 28, 2002 in Japan by Kadokawa Shoten, and the bunko edition was published in 2005. Manga [ edit] The manga series is illustrated by manga author Kendi Oiwa.

"Welcome to the NHK," in my mind, is the lesser of the three versions of Takimoto's opus, but it's still a very good series with great art and an off-the-beaten-path story that you don't see in manga every day. Despite the pacing issues and tonal shifts that undermine the overall narrative, this is a very solid manga that is definitely worth.
